the lights are so bright, but they never blind me.

last month i went to the city i’ve always wanted to visit: New York City!Screen Shot 2015-08-02 at 5.04.23 PM

i ran off the plane, that July 9th…

it’s been on my bucket list to see Taylor Swift in NYC, and since Layna and I both had never been before, we decided to just go for it this summer. since Taylor didn’t have any shows in NYC, we saw her in New Jersey, but hey, i think that counts 😉IMG_9501

we took a suuuuper early flight, so we were in New York by about 8am! after taking a bus and subway to Manhattan, we found ourselves in Times Square (where we were staying), dropped our bags off at the hotel (we stayed at the Row NYC) and then we were off to get some brunch and explore.

i’m just going to share pictures of the rest of our trip with some captions for some of them. enjoy<3 (recap of concerts will in a separate post 🙂 ).

Screen Shot 2015-08-02 at 5.04.35 PMone of the things we wanted to do whenever we came to NYC was eat at Serendipity 3 (as seen in this movie). we decided to make reservations so we wouldn’t have to wait and that was a great choice. honestly the food was just okay (really pricey) but the frozen hot chocolate was delicious. i got the peanut butter kind, and if i ever went back i’d try the regular for sure.Screen Shot 2015-08-02 at 5.05.09 PM

  1. NYC is one of my very favorite places in the U.S. (if not my favorite – though the PNW is a wonderful area too) I’m glad you had such a great time and were able to check it off your bucket list! 🙂
